Ahhh, the Celtic Festival, where stout Stout-drinking men wear skirts and purses and heave heavy things to the tune of heathen instruments. Add a little Irish whiskey and here is where to have a good time! On Sunday we were among the first on the grounds; the music was starting but the drinking had to wait until noon. These people have some things to learn from the French of Louisiana! We skipped the haggis (I've done that and don't need to do it again) but had some good Scottish pies for lunch before heading over to the Flagler. This is definitely a family affair with activities for the kiddies along with the Celtic games which involve big men throwing heavy objects that would kill them if they landed in the wrong place. It seems to be a point of pride to not watch that iron bell or make any move to get out of its way. Even with the young men, it never seemed to go anywhere but in its intended direction. Seems like the luck of the Irish to me.
On our way home, we stopped at a little bar beside the bay where a yacht that is reputed to belong to Tiger Woods is docked. Then it was one more trip to our favorite, Aunt Kate's, so I could add to my sunset collection.
